Default Project for second monitor to MIXER. How to DIY?

Hi,

Anyone knows some DIY with second monitor just for Reaper Mixer?

I thought about LCD display which is half-height of 19" 16x9. Maybe someone has made some similar?

What is wrong with using a normal extra monitor for the mixer?

Use any monitor you like. Just make sure you have a video card that supports dual outputs. I run a dual 24" monitor setup with the main window on one monitor and the mixer on the second. Works great.

Basically nothing. The point is that I have Mackie MCU and I would like to display signal indicator and tracks above the MCU, something like on picture below:

That would be an extremely unusual aspect ratio for a monitor. It likely would be difficult to find on the open market. You might be able to adapt an aircraft display panel for this, but it would require writing display drivers for your OS, and the panel itself would likely cost in the 10s of thousands due to being designed for aerospace use. If you could even get one.

You can use something like a 7" touchscreen with an HDMI input. I have a few of various brands lying around from my IoT/Rasperry projects...

The caveat is touch drivers for windows, many of them may not have those.

A couple of Android tablets with Lemur might do the job. Or, some of the new LG's foldable monitors. 🤠

Probably the most realiable is to buy common LCD monitor with the same width like MCU has and then put half into the table. Rest above table will be mixer display

LCD module is sold separately. Don't know if it's working in standalone mode, though.
