Default Visual Indicator of "Loop Item Source"

Hello!

It would be wonderful to have a visual indicator of a media item's "Loop Item Source" state if it isn’t already looped. A passive visual way to determine whether or not it is checked would cumulatively, over the course of hundreds of edits and sessions, save a lot of time and help prevent a lot of user error, especially the beloved new users!

If anyone finds this useful, please vote in the poll.

I propose two additions to the GUI for this:

1. A "loop" graphic in the small lane that shows the item's name, at the right item edge.

2. A new icon for the "move item edge" set of mouse actions that would only appear if a media item's "loop item source" state is ON.

The lane above the item may be hidden due to size, so I think it would be very useful as a way to indicate "loop item source" status.

Questions regarding the basics of item looping and extending items come up frequently in the other forums. Yes, it is technically user error but I think a small graphical change could really clear some of those up too. Some people discussed this back in 2010 and as recently as 2016.

Forgot to mention:

I think that if an item is already looped multiple times the symbol should only appear at the furthest right position.

I think that between this graphic and the mouse icon most use cases would be covered. For example, if the user is zoomed in far enough that they don't see the right edge but wanted to extend a loop leftwards. In this situation, the mouse icon would act as a fail safe to indicate that the item source is looped.

Loop item source identifier already exists once you stretch the item to more than one loop...

That’s a fair point, but I thought it might be odd if the symbol disappeared when you looped the item.

It doesn't disappear when you loop the item?

+1 for this indicator, that could be optional, like other items indicators (mute, locked, etc...)
