Jamstix in Reaper crashes everything (SOLVED)

Using Reaper 1.11, I've noticed an issue with Jamstix:

1) The Jamstix plugin demo causes a total system slowdown (to a slow crawl), and on one ocassion, caused a Blue Screen and shutdown, which is no mean feat in Win XP Pro. I've tried to run the plugin 3-4 times, and the same freeze (everything goes unresponsive) happens each time.

2) After a couple of these freezes (clicking on commands takes literally five minutes for the command to be enacted), I found that even though Reaper has supposedly quit, there were still instances of it (in one case two instances) running in memory.

Jamstix seems to run fine in Tracktion.

Intel Centrino laptop, 1 gig ram.
