Default Serial number (key)

I haven't fired up Reaper in a few years now.
I built a new computer system recently and want
to install Reaper to it.

I think the last version I paid for was 3 or 4.
I'm OK staying with that for now.

Trouble is I can't find my serial number (key).
Is there a way it can be e-mailed to me again?

If you want to search for it on your computer or backup drives, the file name is:

reaper-license.rk

And I believe if you contact support they can set you up.

Also, your mailbox with the words "cockos" and "invoice". the mail containing your key should pop in the first few entries.

If your license was for version 4 and you want to use 6, then it won't be valid.

OK thanks. I found the file on my other computer.
I actually have v.5.40 (2017).
I haven't used it since 2018.

Have there been any big changes since then?
I'm a very light, occasional user. Would it be worthwhile to
upgrade?
