The folder can be in different locations, depending on where Reaper is installed. It is best to find it like this. Open Reaper. Go to the main menu at the top. Options > Show REAPER resource path in explorer/finder. When the window opens, look for the folder named userplugins. That is where you want to put these files specifically.

There are .tar.xz files at the root - grab the one appropriate for your system, unzip it, there's your .so.

Where is the .so for sws armv7l please?
Hi guys,
I've been up down and all around the Pi tar file looking for the sws .so file but it evades my search. Any pointers gratefully received please? On Landoleet: reaper5983+dev0901_linux_armv7l.tar.xz |

That's Reaper. If you look down a bit, you'll see SWS files for Windows and OSX... there was a Linux build as well, not sure why it disappeared.

The latest SWS official build is here now:
https://cfillion.ca/files/sws/linux-latest/ Or you can build it yourself: https://github.com/reaper-oss/sws/wi...-SWS-Extension Building it yourself ensures you have the most up-to-date version. There have been some updates/fixes since the last official build. |

Hi James & Loka,
Thanks for the pointers - got me a .so now! Its hard enough battling Linux [for me at least!] but always grateful for the knowledgeable and good souls in Reaperland. Cheers Edit:Got me SWS installed on a Pi4 now - thanks Last edited by Yorky; 09-03-2019 at 12:30 PM. |

A bit of help with this would be awesome. I extracted the .so file in the UserPlugins folder, but I still see nothing inside Reaper. On the other hand, I have ReaPack and I can use it perfectly, with the menu and everything.
What could be the problem here? EDIT: I also don't have any new actions when I search for SWS. |

It the architecture correct for your machine (i686, x86_64, armv7l or aarch64)? Are there any messages related to SWS if starting REAPER from a terminal?

Hmm, just re-run Reaper a few times and they appeared in the menu. Don't know what was the problem, but glad that's solved. Thanks for the effort, though.
