Midi not working after recording

Hi i am using midisport 2x4 midi interface. When i start reaper the midi works soon as i switch record off and on it stops working. Yet midi ox see midi activity

Hi and a belated welcome to the forums! When you say "stops working" do you mean everything is running, you can see meter activity on the relevant tracks but no sound?

If so, check your Recording monitoring settings in the TCP.
Ideally set it to "Record Monitoring:Auto" so that regardless of if you are in record or play mode you will still hear the audio from the track as well as your original input.

If this setting is correct, we will have to think again.
Have ou checked in the user manual to make sure you are set up appropriately for what you are doing?
What VSTi are you using?
