w_stretch for transport do?
By static size I mean container or whatever term so the contained elements in transport can be set to one side such as width of said container like my original question - this very simple thing requires transplanting the entire transport from V5 and V6 there is no such thing as align left, width=500 or equivalent in walter for transport?
What does w_stretch for transport do? Not in any guides or walter guides I could find.

If that isn't possible it's a huge miss somewhere.
Having ----------------the ----------------transport ----------------elements ----------------spread ----------------to ----------------2560 ----------------pixels ----------------wide ----------------on ----------------my ----------------monitors ----------------is ----------------not ----------------good.

Just to put this in context, we're here testing new and unproven Reaper technology with a theme using the most advanced WALTER ever written, that allows direct user alteration of elements of the transport in a way that has never been done before, on a variable scale transport that can display as anything from a strip to a vertical docked stack, that serves long term user feature requests that have never been possible to address before.
The theme also includes a solution to your issue; putting the transport in a docker (yes, I know, Reaper can't stack one docker over another, and no, I don't know why) rather than wasting space by stretching it over your entire screen. I recognise that isn't precisely exactly what you want. If you don't want to do that, of course I understand, but please recognise that's your decision not mine.
All you need is a basic static transport that any beginner themer could make from scratch with ease. Am I going to strip out a load of functionality to make this theme do it? Nooooo

No, not strip out
More like a checkbox in the themer script: condense transport.
And: align transport left, right, centered.

I started my post by asking how I can do this myself but no one seems to feel like giving any assistance on how to do that beyond Samils docker suggestion - I already looked at rtconfig, and the first item I found interesting wasn't in your walter guide and no one answered here when I asked directly... so still looking for literal help rather than hints that it can be done. If anyone could throw a few minutes of their time as a bone to me, it would be appreciated as I don't have time to be a themer.

Apparently the first rule of 'community interaction' training (taken by all those condescending 'customer engagement agents' that companies have in 2019) is "never say no on the internet". Instead you're supposed to say "Thanks for your feedback! I'll pass it on to the development team! Have a great day!"
So please consider it a matter of transparency and respect when I say bollocks to that nonsense and instead actually give you a straight answer. And that answer is no, sorry.

I'm quite busy at the moment.
WALTER for this theme's transport : 158 lines
WALTER for this V5's transport : 71 lines
WALTER for Imperial's transport : 20 lines
WALTER required for a fully functional transport : 0 lines.
I'd suggest you're starting at the wrong end.

I debug roughly 50 million lines of code for a single product every day so is there anyone else here willing to help?

I would be surprised if no one put out a modified v6 Theme with a condensed transport, but it's still very early days. v6 isn't even out yet. It may be a "deal with it for now, someone will eventually tweak it to your liking" type of deal.

No, its a testing thread. Moving this out for you, we can move it to the theme forum once we're out of pre if you like.

I started this thread so it's a testing sub forum but I don't care where it lives... I asked some questions, can anyone here give some info please? First off what does w_stretch do regardless if it helps my issue? It's clear you don't want to help beyond what you have, that's fine hence my ask can "anyone else" help.

Want? want? I'm busy, for crying out loud. Isn't that obvious?
Right, fine.
Code:
set w_stretch - all_width w
is what w_stretch is. All sorted now, yeah?

I opened the rtconfig and started trying to decrypt the transport code long before I ever posted. I found that line already (line 1309 to be exact), and is why I only asked what it's purpose is and/or hoping for a few details - how might one gander I came up with the thread title? I'm flabbergasted why such a simple question is met with such resistance so again, is there anyone on this planet who knows any details about it, who is also willing to help me out with a positive, non-dismissive attitude?
Tbh, this probably could have been a two-post thread... "What does it do?" "It does this, be mindful of..."
It wasn't in the walter guide via F3, I fished there long before posting as well. Googling "Walter" + "w_stretch" = you guessed it, no useful hits.
I fished on my on before subjecting myself to all of this, since I suspected it would take this route.

Hope you landed in something good/sorted because you made me install notepad++ and GIMP, been a while..
I feel kinda motivated to play around in graphical mockup-land, maby something will end up worth themeing.
So, your fault, thank you .sir! *life is like a box of chocolates*

Thanks, I haven't had time to test the docker, but unless it can go on the bottom and not affect the docked stuff I already have = no go.

The only way I can dock the transport Below and use the toolbar thing method is to dock the mixer on top or to the right side kinda thing. (or turn off the MCP mixer)
You have CTRL + drag option also while dragging and one can double-click on the boundary line behind the TCP, on your image example, line between your master and big clock.
All DAWs that I like have it on top and this docker way with toolbars on the sides or what ever is so good I wonder if it might be FR'eable so you below-people can use it also, if there is not a technical issue-problem'o for the devs, dunno why we can't, mixer does not seem to allow it, I even tried talking to it, nope, won't let me..
Hmm *work dammit!* / *slap-"%#¤&pow-fu! … starting to think making your own static transport is eas.. faster..

Some fancy Swedish words later.....
This worked: Default Analog, row 1797 - 1825 and paste it into Default6 rtconfig *after* drawTransport 1.0 (Layout A) row 1408 and before Endlayout.
50% & 75% works here on D6 after that, so your transport what ever you are using should also. (based on Default)

Or....
It worked in V5 (transport properly condensed) without hacking, it doesn't in V6, so the idea of losing nothing is a fallacious statement. If I ever get around to dealing with this mess, I'll try your hack. Thanks for your trouble, you'be been great.

You are welcome but, k a r b o, I just did this on D6 though and hmm, maby an ah-ha, when docked, set row_height * scale [24] is better than 36 for me, 36 wastes space when, docked on top.
But 24 can make the non docked look bad so yeah, just saying.
Ps, I have no WALTER medals..
Ps2, set trans.size.dockedheight row_height{0} did not much last time I went Tarzan.. (could be me)
Ps3, Since we are humans, remember if you unpack then you have two Default 6, so you don't make an, oopsy, be on the right one when refreshing the theme. Ps, yes - I - have

I use a single 1080P monitor which isn't spread out quite like that, but still on the Envelopes page of the Theme Adjuster where there are some transport options, I increased the playrate control size to it's max of 310% which pushed stuff over more to the middle of the screen. Also I do not have "Center Transport" checked there. None of this may have any effect for you, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

Version 2:
This is an (option) (for someone maby) also I guess since it compacts really well now, beats D5 in this case and can be on top or below ofc, but the master needs a sidebar, then the master does not need to be so tall and can put even more toolbars on that (earned) space.
Code:
Layout "Sidebar" "Master Sidebar"
set master.mcp.size [210 419]
set master.mcp.extmixer.mode [1]
set master.mcp.extmixer.position [130 0 85 418 0 0 0 1]
EndLayout ; end of "Sidebar"
