Default 2nd Audiophile, or just get a Delta44

Anyone ever run dual Audiophile 2496 cards? I have one, but want a couple extra ins and outs, so I figure it's either; set up a second Audiophile, or replace it with a Delta44.

Any thoughts, advice, recommendations?

Thanks

I had two Audiophile24/96 in the same computer once, but to be able to get them to sync, I had to run a cable from spdif out of the first card to spdif in on the secons. so what I ended up with was 4 analog ins and outs but only two in and out spdif.

..now I run two Delta1010 in the same computer. same thing. it works as long as I use the digital out of the first unit to sync the other unit. I never got the internal sync to work.

Thanks. it seems the 1010 isn't much more expensive than the 44 and it has midi io, that the 44 does not.

66 44 and 1010 have balanced IO. Delta 1010lt does not. Both 1010 and 1010lt have spdif, midi and wordclock IO. 66 has spdif, but no wordclock or midi.

Wasn't aware there was such a thing. Internal sync usually means the cards run on their own clocks and aren't linked, hence won't work.

I had 2 Delat66 & the 2496 in this system for a few with no trouble whatsoever under Reaper. I just selected the master in the M-Audio control panel software and away it went!

Thanks guys.

I picked up a 1010lt 2nd hand. I don't need balanced IO, so it should do the job.
