Reainsert parallel / blend + type input on blend . . .
I'm not sure why this doesn't exist and I'm not going to try, perhaps it's not possible, but having the blend function work, latency compensated when using ReaInsert would be super, fantastic and awesome. Possible?
Also, speaking of the blend function - I'd love to be able to type in a value there rather than just having the knob - love typing absolutes.

regarding the insert values manually you can touch the mix knob, go to param, show in track control. There you´ll have the envelope for the mix knob in your track

For plugins, yes, but not so when using ReaInsert, analog, round-trip.

Ah! Didn't know about that - thanks - could be useful. But, still don't see a way to type in a direct value though, just another knob in the track control area & yet another next to the envelope if I show it, similar to the one on the effect itself. Looking to be able to type in "44%" for example, like you can many other places (gain, etc)

ON the track that has the reainsert click "trim" then you have an envelope for the "wet". you can now right click the first automation point and choose set value point. there you write your value.

For plugins and for inserts of outboard. Did you ping your machine ? are you using automatic device latency adjustment in the reainsert plugin ? if you´re using time based effect make sure you have the unit fully dry before you ping so it calculates the proper roundtrip for your machine.

I see - 'set point value' - that's the behavior / function what I'd like to see right next to the blend knob in each effect window (without having to go anywhere else).

I have pinged and also have auto turned on, but you make a good point about having things dry when pinging - perhaps that's the reason I'm getting cancellation when blending. I'll give it a try again tomorrow - not sure why I've run into cancellation so much, I'm mainly blending compression, nothing time based, but will explore it more. Thanks

Always ping with the gear in bypass, and do it everytime you open the proj to be safe. Works great here with wet/dry.

Yes, i made that a rule, but its the only DAW i have to worry about pinging the machines everytime i open a session. If you have 16 inserts...it´s boring.

I suspect its more about the audio driver or whatever. But yea if you use that many its tedious.
