Default Lowering volumes of all child tracks including volume automation ?

A common problem when mixing is pushing up the vocal a bit, then the drums a bit, then the bass a bit and before you know it everything is at to top of the fader.

Is there a way to buy more fader and lower all of the volumes of the lowest child tracks ? I'm able to select the lowest child tracks with:

SWS/wol: Select all tracks except folder parents

but when I pull the faders down of course the volume automation doesn't follow. Quite the sticky wicket !

If the child tracks are in Trim automation mode then the track fader will still vary the track volume

Just use a Master VCA track for those children.
