Thanks Devs!

and for this too!

+ Render: add option to render selected items through master

Please consider 2nd pass rendering too at some point as explained here, thanks!

Does that work OK when the resampling ratio changes dynamically? (Automated master playrate, ReaSamplomatic, 3rd party code that uses the Reaper resampler...)

Holy shit! Devs you are geniuses!!!
I believe the behaviour will be fixed/changed.
Current: if none note is selected, there is no way to change individual velocities of same-start notes.
Expected: any velocity can be edited independently.

Just curious, well you also add that optionsbfor rendering selected tracks ?

This is currently by a script I made.

https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=79721

I just updated it so it is very functionnal but people surely prefer native.

I also made a script for the render items through master track FX though it worls with unmuted items groups too :P

https://forum.cockos.com/showpost.ph...92&postcount=2

This was possible thx to the new API render function.

Is group items also something you consider ?

Is it possible for this to be an option? I like the idea of square envelopes for MIDI CC values but there might be times when it's still useful to have the bars. I'm wondering if a MIDI CC curve or ramp will be a mess with the square envelopes.

I'd like to suggest a global default setting and perhaps an override per MIDI item or per track. Does that make sense?

Unlike in automation envelopes we can't move a CC segment if no points selected. I think it'd make sense to keep editing behaviour consistent between the two (as far as possible).

Confused about the missing line and bezier modes in the CC department. But I guess they will come back at a later point.

My guess is rather the value interpolation caused too much complication implementation wise and it won't come back, but we'll see.

hummm not sure I love the square points for velocity...
I like the concept but these are hard to see especially in dark colors
maybe I need to change them all to white or some bright color

Yep, the change is simply some optimizations for certain cases of sinc mode, shouldn't change behavior other than lowering CPU/RAM use in some cases, and lowering CPU/increasing RAM use slightly in other cases. Once the changes are stabilized it'll get pushed to the public WDL too.

If this is the case, I will cry like a little girl. And then cry some more...

The interpolation is the whole point of using envelopes vs individual points/bars.

Interpolation was working pretty good in the first implementation, so I don't think that was the problem...

I cannot edit velocities at all now. Using "Edit selected CC events if any, otherwise draw/edit" mouse modifiers.

There's no option to automatically remove duplicate redundant CC events while drawing. In fact there should be no option for that, Reaper should do that automatically while drawing, really...

Lollipop heads could be smaller in diameter or thinner (not as bold) - or both, because denser MIDI CC streams look quite noisy and frankly a bit unappealing:

It'd help a bit, the sorta-line they're forming wouldn't look so thick and noisy, methinks.

Redundant repeated CC values should just not be created at all in the first place, that is a given.

What exactly does this mean?

"+ Render: add option to render selected items through master"

If it means rendering items to separate files, then I assume they all have to be on the same track, or no?

It's just like the existing option to render selected items to separate files, except the new option renders each item through to the master mix, instead of just the track output. The items can be on the same track or different tracks, it doesn't matter.

No, schwa. That is not "too cute". That is pretty much perfect! Except only the really selected nodes should get lollipops (the filled ones), others should stay as they were (stairsteps), maybe?

However I would still suggest reducing the diameter of the lollipops, at least a pixel or two. Can you perhaps share how would that look, in that same example?

Hi all, i noticed in recent alphas/dev versions that some plugins are no more seen/scanned by Reaper.

1. Some Arturia VST2 stuff (the 3 compressors, Clavinet, FM7, Piano, Wurli and Stage)
2. All Plogue/Garritan/Aria stuff

they all load correctly in other hosts (Ableton Live 10, Max 8)

See how Cubase deals with MIDI CC display:

You can see it's stairsteps just like in Reaper now, but the nodes are (much) smaller, hence things look much less busy and more line/curve-like. I think for selected CCs they just go brigher/white, or something.

detail is I forgot that I had renamed a copy of the reaper.exe file to distinguish it from other reaper.exe's so the updater was doing what it should [of course] but I was running the renamed exe from it's shortcut...
I'll give myself a good kick in the ass and take a nap.
