Sorry, should have been more clear.
Rewriting Learn right now, so no sense testing it.

Ah ok, no worries, sometimes it's hard to follow everything that's happening between all the posts.
I'll get back at it when a new version is available.

Once that arrives, and gets set up, will investigate further.

Thanks Geoff! Sucks about the added expense. Thanks fourdogsiong for adding a donation.

If drop down lists and in-place renaming are off the table, your original idea of an advanced learn mode sounds good. I wouldn’t worry about Steps, just have the rename option.
In the ReMap window, a button to move a parameter to the bottom and another to move a parameter to the top ( with keyboard shortcuts ) would go along way to cut down on the dragging and dropping after using AutoMap.

Well, if we're doing a dialog anyway, the steps come basically free.

It's probably not related to CSI specifically but I just mapped a plugin (EQ) for which I have two version (v6 and v7), they're basically the same, just some updated UI and compatibility for v7.
V7 behaves correctly but in V6, when I open the plugin, the Led indicators around my Rotary Knobs are all set to minimum even the paramaeter is not at minimum in the plugin.
It's an EQ so a frequency might be set at 600hz but as soon as I turn clockwise a rotary the frequency jumps to 20hz and then goes up.
Is it that the plugin is not reporting it's current status correctly when I fire it up or is it an FX zone issue?

Do the plugins have unique names and fx.zon?

Ok Could the Steps field default to 2?
Also, regarding Steps, I think they might work more successfully with rotary encoders if you rounded up to 2 decimal places, so instead of 0.166666666, use 0.17.
I've never had a problem with Steps when using pushes, but rotaries seem much more picky when it comes to values. They often will successfully step through all the values in one direction, only to get stuck on a particular value in the other. Rounding up in the manner described seems to put the value within the range of a particular step rather than right on the edge. I've had a lot more success using this method (manually) when assigning Steps to rotaries.
Glad you like it It should allow people to banish unimportant parameters to the Phantom Zone of Control+Alt+Option+Shift, whilst being able to throw useful ones to the top of the list for accurate placing. It's important that the list doesn't scroll during either of these operations, otherwise you're no better off than you were with drag'n'drop

v6 and v7 have exactly the same name so it's just one FX zone per surface.

If you remove V7 from the plugins folder, does V6 work correctly?

I can't install them at the same time because they share the same exact name, when upgrading to v7, v6 gets overwritten.
I made the FX map with v6, realized it had that weird behaviour, tried the demo upgrade to v7 and the weird behaviour is gone, so I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to make v6 work better because A: it's paid for already and B: it's less cpu intensive on my system.

Unrelated to these plugin questions, I noticed that my VU meters seem to report 4dB quieter than what Reaper tells me.
They are single meters (1 meter per channel, not 2), I use TrackOutputMeterMaxPeakLR in my zones.
Is that a known issue, is there a way I could calibrate them? I mostly use them to know if something is happening on that channel but I'd like to also know when I'm clipping and right now I need to clip +4dB in Reaper for my controller to shot clipping.

I see, I was just checking they weren't on the system at the same time
It sounds like they fixed some stuff in the plugin to me. Which plugin is it?

Yeah that probably comes from the plugin but it's weird because I've mapped hundreds of plugins and it's the first one that does that.
It's McDSP G Channel.

Is anyone having issues with OSC displays not working in the latest Exp builds? If it's just me, I'll get back to troubleshooting but want to make sure it's not a bug or known issue before I go too deep down the rabbit hole. I'm using the iPad to mirror the Twister and for some reason not getting the displays working despite everything otherwise looking good setup wise on intiial review.

They're working here on the MM_iPad_Mixer.

Thanks for confirming. Everything else looks good so it could be the .TouchOSC file I'm using on the iPad or something similar (version control issue). Will get back to troubleshooting later.
Worst case, I'll try the MM iPad Mixer as that's a known quantity. Thanks again!
