Default Searching for a good interface for guitar recording?

Hi, I would like to use Virtual Amp Simulators to record my guitar in Reaper. I am searching for a good audio interface. My main expectations are that it has a good sound quality, the possibility to listen to all tracks (not only guitar) when recording in Reaper, and a good price (hopefully under 200 Euro?). Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

Are you looking at USB interfaces?

I think the Audient ID14 or ID22 are really attractive audio interfaces around that budget.

They've recently just realised mk2 versions too. The big selling point is the inputs are of great quality and they feature a dedicated DI/Guitar input as well as standard mic inputs.

Plus you can expand the number of inputs at a later date via ADAT connection (i.e. using something like a Behringer ADA8200), which is very rare feature at those price points.

I use a Presonus Studio 26c USB interface, I've been very happy with it.

I use it pretty much the same you are wanting to. I record guitar tracks, and I can hear all other tracks playing while recording. But all the interfaces will do that.

Lot's of people here use the Behringer Saphire products. They seem to be very popular and work well also.

Just a note, whatever device you end up with, make sure the manufacturer provides ASIO drivers for your specific system.

A roundup of recent models : https://www.musicradar.com/news/the-...rfaces-of-2020
But older ones work just as well in many cases I would think.

I'm not expert on the market, but I recently got the Focusrite Scarlett Solo and it fits your criteria.

The only thing I did not like about the solo was a single channel input. I got a 2i2 for those instances that I wanted stereo input into Reaper...
