Default Linking two faders so that one is increased while the other is decreased

Hello,

I need to link two faders so that when you move fader 1 up, fader 2 goes down, and vice versa.

I've done this with track grouping, but the faders seem to jump and there is no real consistency. What am I doing wrong?

Allo allo.
Well perhaps your not doing anything wrong-more todo with fader scalings..
You may have precision mode enabled for faders-so the scaling will be 'out//off' when inverted.Y/n?

Thanks Bri1 for the reply.

People on this forum either have no clue about basics, or they're too busy to reply.

After digging, I found that there's a JS plugin that allows you to do this, included with Reaper, called SwixMitch.

You set up a track with 4 channels, then the plugin will crossfade between the two and output as 2 channels.

Just replying to my own question, so that people searching forum in the future will have something to see.

Group the two tracks (shift G) - make one slave the other, master and check reverse volume in the grouping dialog.
