Thank you !
It seems indeed to fix the 'takes a little time to sound right after playback start' issue for some plugins.

Nitpick:
Tick when reenabling hard reset doesn't come back when done via FX Browser, only via the plugin directly.

edit:
Just to give more feedback, ADT (VST2) now finally also works correctly without hard reset. Really happy, thanks again.

I'd love to see this available for JS plugins too!

For the IOSONO plugin, Is it possible to put the old code like how it used to be (in 5.6) for this plugin please ?

The VST plugin channel issue is still not fixed actually. Please check out the video in the below given link. When I am sending signal to the centre channel R2 surround plugin receives it in Ls channel. When I am sending Lfe , R2 surround plugin receives it in Rs channel. I have a feeling this is because of the 5.1 SMPTE (L,R,C,Lfe,Ls,Rs) and 5.1 film standard (L,C,R,Ls,Rs,Lfe). I have noticed some plugin manufacturers follow 5.1 film standard and some follow 5.1 SMPTE standard. I think it would be better to support both standards. That should fix these isuues. The user should be able to choose between the two standards as and when required. Dont you think ?

Also Rewire is still broken. Rewire works perfectly in Ver 5.6. Its been broken since ver 5.7.

I have set up reaper as slave to protools. The transport runs in perfect sync but reaper is not sending audio into protools from version 5.7. But in the same setup 5.6 works flawlessly. Can you pls take a look at this too ?

This should be handled by the plugin, not the DAW, methinks.

Does it work the way you expect in 5.71pre16a? There is special case code added in the newest build.

REAPER doesn't have a conception of specific multichannel formats. All REAPER knows is "there are X channels," not the difference between 3.1, quad, ambisonic 1st order, etc. To distinguish between different formats using the same number of channels, you should use the plug-in pin connector dialog.

OK..I understand what you are saying but if we have to use the plugin pin config...i believe there should be a preset manager for the plugin pin config that can be saved with the preset. That would make it easy. What do you think ?

Pin matrix is not a part of plugin preset, so it should NOT be stored along with plugin presets, but AFAIK it's saved as a part of FX chain. So save your plugin as an FX chain and there you have it.

That is what I am doing currently..But saving each plugin like that could take for ever..Would it be easier if we had a plugin pin preset that can be used with any plugin ? Maybe not with the plugin preset but perhaps as a separate setting ?

I'm pretty sure the pins are saved with the presets.
At least here they always did, as i use that feature.

Playback delay bug with some VST3 plugins was introduced in v5.71pre16 as default setting. I had to research to circumvent this.

Please have a look at my post:
