I have noted that zooming too fast/much with the native action "View: Zoom horizontally (MIDI CC relative/mousewheel)", Reaper uses a lot of CPU and then hangs even with an empty project. Never happened before.
I am also seeing the vertical scroll bar not being resized when setting track height from API, ok with envelopes (but this probably needs to be posted in bug section).

So, what command should be used to set recmon to "auto" now?
I can only turn it on/off in 5.71.

I believe this happened before that release too. It's the same problem when you hide or unhide tracks via scripts. The scrollbars aren't updated to the change but I believe I have seen a line of code in all of Airons scripts, something like "update arr gui" (sorry, not a scripter) which would fix that.

I'm getting hanging notes from virtual instruments with this update. Probably related to

Probably not related to that, that issue existed apparently even before this prerelease, and seems to have to do with track monitoring settings:

It happens whatever recording\monitoring settings are. Disabling rec only makes it silent when not playing, but if you play it's still there. And unlike before, this time it happens 99% when I press stop while instrument is playing.
Edit: rolled back to 7.50 seems it's gone.

It's interesting because I get no hung notes here with any VSTi I have (and I have lots) when stopping while they're playing.

Is there any linux build already?
I wonder if there is any updated native linux build already...
If so, where to find it?

This pre is causing me stuck notes with all Vsti instruments when i press stop in the middle of a midi clip.
Reinstall back to 5.7 and no stuck notes.

So weird! It must be some setting that causes this... I really get no hung notes.
Everyone, what are your settings for MIDI reset in Preferences->Audio->MIDI Devices and Preferences->Audio->Playback?

I haven't seen any, but it's vacation time... I'm sure come January we'll be back to normal.

Havent change any settings. Here is my playback prefrences (same as since I installed reaper the first time)
EDIT: If I turn off run FX when stopped stuck notes dissapear.
EDIT2: Its the flush FX on stop sub-option that causes the stuck notes. If I have Run FX when stoppen on and flush option off it plays normally.

I guess something changed in the last pre (or te flush option got enabled). The option you have suggested in last post works without any stuck notes. Thanks
Regards J

Looks like flushing FX is impacted by those VST reset message being done from main thread, which WAS introduced in this pre. So perhaps something for devs to check, then?

+ Live FX Multiprocessing: improve performance with folder tracks that have PDC [t=169675]
+ Live FX Multiprocessing: process receives similar to folders
i have live multiprocessing enabled and this build crashes if i play a track in a folder that is armed and has audio playing on it! (well it hangs and i have to kill the program)
tracks in the same folder with no audio on do not crash
Win7 x64, x64 build of reaper
only did a quick test before reverting to main release as i am working on projects!
it was 3 sub folders deep and i have live multiprocessing enabled on all 8 cores

Oh my GOSH I've been waiting for this one for a long time! ( 2010, it seems. Though admittedly since subprojects the need became less urgent.)
Thanks, devs!
