JS effect buffer cleared when recording starts
It appears that JS clears the effect buffer when recording starts. I guess I can understand why, you wouldn't want some lingering audio information (like the tail of a delay or whatever) at the start of recording. But this seems to make it impossible for any effect state (beyond the slider settings) to persist across the user pressing record. And it doesn't appear that the effect can even know whether it's recording or not, so it can't try to recover its state.
Am I understanding all this correctly? Is there any workaround for preserving effect state (beyond slider settings) across pressing record, or between sessions?
Thanks for any help.
