Default Separate the forum in two ?

Hi,

wouldn't it be useful to separate this forum in 2 sections :
- 1 called "ReaScript, JSFX, REAPER Plug-in Extensions", containing only advertising for new plugins (where basic users can learn about existing and new plugins)
- 1 called "ReaScript, JSFX, Developer Forum", dealing only with developpement questions.

It would be then easier for basic users, and they won't be overwhelmed by developpers specific threads.

This has been disccussed a few times,
and in fact we only saw a merging (extension and reascript).

So our only way at disposable is careful thread naming.

Question prefix with Q:, and having question mark at the end, new release as Script: etc..

I agree it would be helpful, I'm sure I mentioned this years ago about where to post about a new script. I recall the answer was in here. But if I want to announce a new script to all users, not just programmers, then it's not a suitable place. I do use it for asking questions.

Lots of people I guess juste use the New Posts feature and dont navigate via home page.

so it is all about the thread title. Q: for question Script: for release.

I think the right place to advertise a new script, JSFX etc. is in the general forum. You could also post it here for discussion or criticism.

@Time Waster

Currently, new scripts showcased in General Forum are extremly rare indeed, scripts are often very specifics, and user using them are also a niche compare to most reaper user base.

I am trying to cook up a KVR style database for add ons, but it will take some time.
