Default Can't use Kontact on multiple virtual instrument tracks

I'm new to Reaper and music production in general. My first project is to arrange a Bach organ fugue for four instruments. When I drag the midi in it creates four tracks and I have no problem assigning one Kontact instrument to the first track. When I try to assign a different Kontact instrument to any of the other tracks it's silent.
I found that if I assign a completely different plugin to track 2, like an instrument from Massive X, it will play just fine.
It looks like I'm limited to using one sound/instrument from each plugin but I'm pretty sure that isn't the case.
Is there anything special I need to do if I want to use Kontact instruments on each of my midi tracks?
Thanks in advance.

Off the wall here...if I understand what you mean...
If you are using separate instances of kontakt on its own track with a different instrument on each
check that the channels are the same as for track 1 in kontakt
I think it should be MID:CH [A] 1
Not at my pc at the moment...
