Default JS plugin for imitation SSL Bus Comp?

Hi,

I would like to make project with 100% stock Reaper plugins and free JS plugins. I'm looking some JS plugin to imitate SSL Bus Compressor. Is some JS plugin for this?

You could get close enough with ReaComp in feedback detection mode.

I own a couple of SSL comp emulations and i tend to use most the Waves one. Not particularly close to the original unit ( there are tons of copies sounding all different) but i like how it glues stuff together and tightens the low end without affecting the dynamics too much'ish. I bought the SSL original version ( plugin ) and i ended it putting on sale for a nice price.
Reacomp is straight forward plugin, well coded, its simple and can make a lot for you BUT when programming such a type compressor some stuff is added for circuitry emulation and reacomp does not have that. Its a standard digital compressor.

You can try the plugin alliance VSC-2. Really nice VCA compressor , SSL typo!

Thanks pepe, but I want to make next project with 100% stock Rea and JS plugins comes with reaper. I know that SSL emulations, like T-Racks or Duende Native has circut harmonics emulations from oryginal hardware and this can be challenge for ReaComp which is like you said, transparent compressor.

We’ve got plenty of ways to distort things. Put a saturation before or after or both. In fact, ReaComp will distort when the time constants are small enough. When they’re all at 0, it’s a very versatile waveshaper and I use it for saturation all the time.
