Default Ignore fade handles when moving an item?

I do a ton of tiny fades on either side of my audio when cutting up sound effects, the problem with this is that I have to zoom in every single time to move each piece of audio because it has fade handles on either sides and the handles get in the way of the mouse grabbing the item. Is there anyway to move items with ignoring the fade handles?

maybe few tips:
- Lock enabled with Lock settings: "Item fade/volume handles"
- Cut & Paste
- Nudge actions
- Nudge dialog (for interactivity)

Maybe this very rough idea goes abit too far but you could make a Cycle Action, assigned to one keyshortcut:

Point mouse on an item and hit the shortcut 1 time:
The first part of the Cycle Action would now select that item.
Move mouse to where the item must be moved to and hit shortcut again
The second part of the Cycle Action would now move that item to mouse pointed spot.
