Default Video Windows dockable (DONE)

Discussion thread for the request

Video Windows dockable

If there's a technical issue in getting this done, I'd love to hear about it, instead of four years of silence.

Most definately do this.
With options like the Transport/Toolbars for positioning too.

Thanks for the votes ladies and gents. Keep 'em coming.

Here are two images, one depicting the way it is now, the other the way it could be. Only links, since they're 1920x1200 in size.

Before with video window floating - After with video window docked

Christophe, if you're seeing this, perhaps you could let us know how hard this is to do. We've had the video window for quite a while, and the function seems almost obvious for one- or even two-monitor users. So if there's a technical hurdle that prevents this from being implemented more or less easily, please do let us know so we don't pester you unnecessarily.

I use a floating toolbar positioned at the top of the Main Window and whenever I click on view for Media Items, Render Lists, etc. The window expands and shrinks back when I return to the Double Row Toolbar I use.
Having Video expand and collapse like this would be great.
I stumbled upon this by using some Key Maps that Mercado Negro made for double row toolbars, just happens to work out that way ever since I installed those.

+1 again.

Yes! I voted for this yesterday while my internet was being crappy so I'm gonna try again today. This would be very useful to me.
