Default DrumReaplacer Install

Jonas DrumReaplacer Install Manual (a work in progress)

Much of the info has been gathered from this thread http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=20462 and the text doc in old DrumReaplacer downloads.
I am slowly compiling the info to be made into a downloadable Manual and updated all in one install/test kit. For now I will attempt to keep this O.P. up to date whilst working on separate threads for USER MANUAL and SAMPLE FILE CREATION - links to be found in my signature

The latest versions of the plugin have been patched by Justin and supplied on Reaper Stash
https://stash.reaper.fm/browse.php?q=...placer&x=0&y=0

A current update of the Drumreaplacer test kit is available here
https://www.dropbox.com/s/0bxqtx86nu...update%201.rar

Install

DrumReaplacer provides awesome accurate phase coherent multi-sample drum replacement
DrumReaplacer does not yet output midi – for this try SStillwells drumtrigger (included in Reaper) or Reagate with samplomatic5000
Multiple versions can be installed at the same time for experimenting - all will access the same samples folder

XP

Plugin
Copy the file DrumReaplacer_1.xxx to the folder "Jonas" in Effects folder in Reaper (create folder if not already there)
(C\Program Files\REAPER\Effects\Jonas)

Sample bank
Copy the folder called DrumReaplacer (containing two wav-files) to ...\REAPER\Data\ folder.
(C\Program Files\REAPER\Data\DrumReaplacer)
Limitations of JS programming means this is the only place it can work

WIN7

Plugin
Copy the file DrumReaplacer_1.xxx to the folder "Jonas" in Effects folder in Reaper (create folder if not already there)
(C\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Reaper\Effects\J onas)

Sample bank
Copy the folder called DrumReaplacer (containing two wav-files) to ...\REAPER\Data\ folder.
(C\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Reaper\Data)
Limitations of JS programming means this is the only place it can work

Note
"AppData" is a hidden folder so either:
turn on "show hidden folders from folder option in control panel
or
do a search on C drive for "roaming"
(I then create shortcuts on the desktop for easy adding/editing files later)

Mac

Plugin
Copy the file DrumReaplacer_1.xxx to the folder "Jonas" in Effects folder in Reaper (copy whole folder if not already there)
/Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Reaper/Effects/Jonas

Sample bank
Copy the folder called DrumReaplacer (containing two wav-files) to ...
/Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Reaper/Data
Limitations of JS programming means this is the only place it can work

feel free to post any needed additions/changes
thanks to Jonas for making such an awesome plugin

Quick question. I tried to install this on my macbook, but reaper doesn't show up in my "application support".

There are multiple library folders on osx. Are you aware of the different ones?

Ahh, figured out you have to "unhide" the library folder for "users". Got it now. Thanks!

I didn't realize there was a patched version for Mavericks. I have the updated Drumreaplacer and all the files necessary however the key difference for us Mac users between the versions is that Jonas original plugin shows up as a Unix Executable file, whereas the patched versions are just .txt files that we don't really know what to do with and installs differently.

Presumably we can just create a new JS FX from within the FX browser and copy and paste the text from the patched .txt file into the JS effect and all will work splendid. maybe?

You're totally right. I messed up. I had a project still looking for the old version of the plugin so it gave me an error since the names are not exactly the same. thanks for all your work on this!
