Default Recording/Playback with QU16

Hi Guys

I have recently acquired a Allen & Heath QU16 Digital mixer. Drivers for Windows have been recently released for it allowing audio to be streamed over USB between PC and the desk.

My question is - does anyone know how I can record say a vocal track whilst listening to a previously recorded guitar track? I can do the recording OK but can't currently do any monitoring.

Any help would be greatly appreciated by this particular noob please. Thanks

Default Recording/Playback with QU16

Guys

Sorted it out.

Map all 16 channels as inputs 1-16, map output 17 to ST1 for monitoring, make sure to set USB as global source for outputs. Monitor thru' headphones,

Simples!!

Cheers

Default Reaper QU16 template with KeyMap

Hello.

I spent quite a bit of time mapping out midi key maps if anyone is interested
It did take some time to learn to do this as I learned on the GSR24M to manually do this.
And now PC is available to run with the QU16 series mixers
It is a Reaper template.
Just basic 16 tracks and a 22 Track without midi controls to the ST1-2-3 tracks.
You will need to import the ReaperKeyMap as well.
The LED's do not light up on the QU16
However in DAW mode (middle layer on QU)the solo works, Mute works and channel select works the Reaper on your laptop superbly.
The soft keys are assigned from top
1 clear all solos
2 Clear all Mutes
3 Play from start
4 Stop / Pause

Of course you will need to set the mixer up correctly which is on A&H website
