Default (Added!) Double-click empty space in FX window to shrink/expand

Vote:
http://forum.cockos.com/project.php?issueid=5344

We know of these settings:

I keep down unticked because I find it disorienting for it to shrink down when switching between plugins. I do however find the desire sometimes to shrink it myself. And so, I drag the window smaller. Simple right?

*cue 'This Summer...' voice-over*

What if it were even simpler.

This white space:

Double-click it.

Results in this:

Pretty simple right?

Discuss:
Would you use this?
Do you think you'd do it by accident? (resolutions: triple click, or yet another menu option)
^ Would that actually annoy you or just be a 'whatever' moment (since it doesn't really affect any of the functionality)

My feeling is that the reasons the shrinking is "disorienting" are that the Add/Remove buttons change position (they should just be at the top), and some of the other window elements may be hidden by plugins with tiny ui. For me, the ideal would be something like this:

The left window would be the Fx Chain and the right would be the plugin ui, but they're linked in one direction. I think that would be clever.

For me the whole plugin window is a mess, but one that I just deal with.
Rather than a bandaid sorta-fix like this, I would prefer to see the whole issue of plugin GUI scaling reworked from scratch....
Now since that is pretty unlikely, I deal with it as-is.
A partial fix like this seems pointless.

Indeed. Fx chain window needs an internal overhaul and a makeover.
