Default Random MIDI routing when automating Send Mute (AI edition)

New Bug with Automation Items: https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?p=2129068

When monitoring, REAPER always applies the last Mute Send (not Track) Enveloppe automation point no matter where the cursor is in the project.

I also noticed that if the last automation point is set on "MUTE", a few random MIDI events will still pass through!

Steps to reproduce:
  1. Create a new track, set input to a midi keyboard, arm it for recording and enable monitoring
  2. Create another track
  3. Send all MIDI events on track 1 to track 2
  4. Enable track 1's "Track 2 Send Mute" automation envelope and create a muted point somewhere after the edit cursor

Demonstration (the cursor is at 00:00:00):

Expected behaviour: The second track should receive every MIDI event from track one.

Bumping as this bug is still present in Reaper v5.01. The automation envelopes are working fine with audio sends. This issue only affects MIDI sends.

Bump, this duo of MIDI bugs is still causing trouble. Quite difficult to normally rehearse live performances with programmed MIDI Send Mute automation (for instrument changes) when transport is stopped because of the mute/unmute state being randomly applied (or not being applied...).

Confirming, mute envelope value is not read (or rather applied to MIDI stream) at cursor location, and random notes get through if last read value was mute (appears to let all notes thru if last value was unmute).

Just to confirm: with the mute envelope enabled and stopped, it lets MIDI notes through but then quickly mutes them, it seems.

Yes, the few note on events that do reach the other end of the send are very quickly followed by a note off (I missed that!):

(Track 1 = Input from MIDI keyboard -> sent to Track 2)

EDIT: The early note off are triggered from the midi editor's preview as well, but without the randomness that is happening with live input.
EDIT2: Also notes sent from the editor preview seems to follow the mute envelope value at cursor position (again it's not the case with live input which always applies the last value no matter where the cursor is...).

Yikes! I found a new variation of this bug. Now it happens if the send mute envelope contains automation items. Once again, only a few random lucky notes are passing through the send although the edit cursor is at an unmuted point.

Bump, v6.46 still randomly eat note events from external MIDI devices if the track's send mute envelope contains AIs.
