Reaper 5.1 hang - Mac (FIXED)

Hangs whenever the mixer is shown for some layouts. I then have to force quit Reaper, remove the theme file and re-start. It does this with the Reaper 5 default theme. As soon as the mixer is shown, either docked or in a separate window the program hangs, which happens when I start the program or switch to that theme. It's weird because it suddenly happened - it's been working fine for days. Maybe that theme file is corrupted.

Reaper 5.1 OS X 64 bit
OS X 10.11.1

I had to remove my user directory and do a fresh install. If I simply replaced the .ini file from the first installation then it would hang again so I have to reset all of my settings. Somewhere in that file is a setting that will hang Reaper.

I have the same issue, on two machines (both win64) with the current 5.11 version.
After I rebooted Reaper wouldnt start, and just hang. I try and find the .ini file, thanks!

Apparently, just removing the .ini file "fixes" the issue. It just sucks to have lost all the tweaks I made over the years...

I attached my config file, maybe you can upload yours too and we/I diff it?

Hmm I can't duplicate a crash with that ini, hmmm....

that's odd. if I revert back to the posted .ini, REAPER again starts to hang.
first time it opened, second time it remains "stuck". it similar to the behavior I had last night, when I upgraded and then continued with my session, but in the morning I was puzzled that REAPER wouldn't start.

Any ideas what else I could check? Are there any files created/updated when the .ini changes (for the first time and thus some defaults are loaded) ?

ah got it on windows, relates to the "show project settings on project load" setting. Going to try a tweak for 5.12rc2.
