Cursor displays plus sign (+) when moving FX in mixer (FIXED)

OS X 10.11.3
Reaper 5.15

Step to reproduce:

Alt-drag an effect plugin in the mixer.

Result: The plus sign (+) stays next to the mouse cursor, making it seem as if the effect will be copied.

Expected behavior: Plus-sign (+) disappears, indicating Reaper is moving, not copying, the plugin.

Confirmed. Maybe more a feature request tho (as the fx still is getting copied to the new track) ...

No, the fx is getting moved to the track, which is computer terms is a completely different operation. The plus sign means you're adding an instance, which does not happen in a move operation.

It does "add" the FX to the new track (and removes from the other). So the "+" sign isn't really a bug.

Feature Request or Nitpick to me.

"Add and remove" is not the same as "add" – it's "move".

If you're on Mac – I think Windows and Linux too – the plus sign GOES AWAY when you MOVE a file (NOT copy) in Finder/Explorer. This is essential user feedback in standard OSes.

I agree. But it did trip me up when I saw the + until I actually tried dragging and dropping.

I see you've changed the plus to an arrow in 5.16. Since this is the nitpick forum:

That tiny arrow looks almost the same as the plus. Please consider just removing the plus/arrow entirely for Move FX, at least in OS X. It's foreign to the OS – just look at finder and you'll see the + for copying just goes away on the move cursor.
