Default Yamaha Motif / MOXF as VSTi3 - Host Ports

Well I've done my due diligence and still have not been able to find the answer to getting the Yamaha Motif editor to work inside Reaper as a VSTi3 plug in. Editor runs fine as stand alone, but claims that the host (Reaper) does not have its ports set up correctly.

Apparently others are still trying to get this same setup since I've yet to find the answer.

Anyone make it work yet? Thanks!

Did you try mapping Reaper MIDI busses to VST3 MIDI busses? (Right-click the in/out button on top of the Reaper plugin window, then go to MIDI Input.)

Tried it. Port 1 just will not show up. Port 4 (required apparently) shows up fine. The 2 ports show and work fine when the "plug in" is run in stand alone mode.

I played with this for a while and believe I've a got very workable situation using the MOXF Editor in stand alone mode. It sees ports 1 and 4 as it likes to. I use it in song mode so I've got access to minimum 16 channels of midi. Reaper sees both ports when running it outside the host. So it's like I'm using only one instance of the editor instead of an instance per track.

Not straight forward but still simple enough to work with quickly.
