Inconsistent colour encoding between Windows and Mac OS X (FIXED)
The way colours are encoded in REAPER is inconsistent between Windows and Mac OS X.
This is the same project first created on a mac, then moved to a windows machine. It swaps reds & blues for some bizarre reason. Mac OS X Windows 7 |

Confirmed (for item/take colors, track colors are correctly handled). Fixing!

To be clear, there may be issues with old projects being loaded cross platform, but for projects saved/loaded with newer versions (e.g. the last 5 years) of REAPER this issue should not persist. |

Sure. It doesn't depend on the project.
I'm talking only about the auto-color SWS extension. All tracks painted automatically change their color when switching to another system (win or mac). Tracks painted manually through the palette retain their color as it supposed to be. I discovered this problem a couple of years ago (as soon as I changed the system for the 1st time), and since then it has remained relevant. Also, in addition to tracks, this applies equally to markers and regions. Everything related to auto-color is inconsistent between Mac and Win. And as it was mentioned here in 2016, it looks like only blue and red RGB channels were accidentally switched. Because full green color remains the same. |

Can you give steps to reproduce? It might be something that needs to be fixed in sws but probably need to have specific steps in order to duplicate.

Sure. Actually it's really simple:
1. Create any auto-color rule with red or blue shades. (e.g "BUS" track = red color) 2. Save reaper configuration and transfer it to the another system (Mac/Win). 3. Try to use previously created rule (so track named "BUS" now will be blue instead of red) |

ah yeah, that's a sws issue that needs to get fixed -- the project state, if auto-coloring is applied on one system, should be correct on the other.

May I know if this will be fixed in the next updates?
I'm so close to starting recoloring my 350 track template by hand. |
