This bug has been annoying me for a long time so I thought I'd make a LICEcap to demonstrate it.
When dragging items from the Media Explorer next to existing items on the timeline Reaper will open the replace dialog even though the item is beside, and not overlapping the existing item.
When the option to overlap is chosen it can clearly be seen that there's no overlap.
