An extra MIDI item is created when recording using time-selection auto-punch (FIXED)
I believe this should be classified as a bug?
Reaper 5.31 Windows 10 x64 It only happens if you stop recording in the area outside of the time selection, and only before it. Doesn't seem to happen if you stop the recording after the time selection. How to reproduce: I have loop points unlinked from time selection here. It's especially annoying when you have items on the track, and the new item splits whats already there. The same thing happens when recording audio. |

For now if you enable the option to discard partial takes when recording it'll be a handy workaround (prefs/loop recording)
