Default MIDI inline editor: Buttons to set 1) Active channel, 2) Visible CC lanes

When editing MIDI, selecting 2) the active channel and 2) visible CC lanes are two of the most basic functions. Curiously, these are not available in the inline editor -- not as toolbar buttons or dropdown menus (as in the main MIDI editor), nor even as actions.

To change the active channel or visible lanes, the user has to open the main MIDI editor, which undermines the usability of the inline editor.

It is straightforward to script these functions**, but they are so fundamental that it would be better to have them available as buttons in the inline editor, similar to the zoom and scroll buttons.

** Script can read and write these setting in the item chunk, but *getting* a pointer to the focused inline editor is a bigger problem.

I decided not to wait for the devs to add these functions...

js_Select channel for new events for inline MIDI editor under mouse

js_Select CC lanes to show in MIDI item under mouse
js_Select CC lanes to show in selected MIDI items

Pretty neat! (The script doesn't remember its GUI position - just size, btw!)

Might not be a bad idea to code individual scripts to set MIDI channel, so that they can be integrated in native menus?

By the way, you can set the CC lanes by right-clicking the separator between the note area and CC lane.
