Project import extention support is partially broken (FIXED)

Observation:
"When creating new projects, use the following project file as a template" is set, any attempts to import foreign project using related extensions ends with new project from the template.
Expected:
Imported project is not replaced.
Tested with:
my own (not yet public) reaper_cwp and reaper_omf
Reaper v5.70, 32bit, Windows.

Notes:
when the option is not set, everything works as expected.
