Default How to completely disable cc lane preview in arrange view

As of 5.75, Reaper now always shows velocity lanes in arrange view. Previously, it would only show other cc lanes if they are present. How to disable this now?

Under Preferences > Appearance > Peaks/Waveforms there are now the following options:

- Draw multiple MIDI CC lanes if space permits
- Combine all MIDI CC data in the first lane

This can't be disabled in 5.75. Is your issue about wanting to hide non-note data in general, or about not wanting to see velocity data in the arrange view?

Both options would be great, but I mainly want to disable velocity data in arrange view.

I rolled back to 5.70 because of this. If I want to see velocity info I will open the MIDI editor. Having this in the arrange view is useless.

Hi,
Thank God!
Personally, I liked the way it was just before 5.70. It was smart and unobtrusive IMHO. The new velocity and cc bars seem to be too thick, and the envelope type shading on CCS along with the greater verticle space used in the item makes it visually obtrusive IMHO.
If for some technical reason having the option to go back to "old" reaper way of handling this would be too hard, I would vote for a notes only option. But again I feel the old way was the best.

Thanks

+1. Is there any way to have notes only in 5.76? I am no longer seeing the velocity bars, but the CC64 hold/sustain pedal info in the arrange view is a LOT more intrusive and distracting than it was in 5.70. The ability to adjust the CC window in the inline MIDI editor is cool, but IMO this data serves no purpose when not in editing mode.

Deselecting "Draw multiple MIDI CC..." and selecting "Combine all..." in Preferences/Appearance/Peaks/Waveforms makes the CC bars only marginally less obnoxious. Ideally, they could perhaps appear when you enlarge the track vertically, but go away (or at least be less prominent) when the track is at typical default size.

...FWIW, I very much prefer the older MIDI arrange view display, too.

The CC drawing in 5.79pre1 is more like 5.70 in terms of note/CC thickness, and the CC chased value shading can be themed to be lighter or nonexistent.
