Default Stretch markers: Sloped shape causes doubling and "flams" (BIG bug with no workaround

When using stretch markers with sloped shapes, the audio immediately to the right of a sloped section gets doubled during playback and render.

The bug is easy to see if the stretch marker falls just before a large transient:

If the stretch marker shape is flat, playback and render is correct:

(The rendered section is below.)

But when the shape is sloped, even if the end rate is the same as in the previous example, the transient is "flammed":

Stretch marker fade size does not appear to have any effect on the bug.

No demo project is required, since this will happen with any sloped ritardando stretch marker.

Here is a demonstration of sloped accelerando vs sloped ritardando vs flat. Each is shown in two takes: the first take shows the stretch marker, and the second the rendered audio. The rendered ritardando is highlighted. Accelerando and flat remain perfectly aligned, whereas ritardando causes flamming:

Thanks, Justin.

Whilst you're looking at this, any chance you could glance over this request? Not sure if it's feasible, but would be cool to have (Nuendo has an offline version of this)..
