Default [5.92] (FIXED) Edit envelope segment curve not working when default shape is square

---------This was fixed in version 5.93 pre2 -----------

It seems in current versions reaper won't change the curvature of the envelopes (default: alf+click) when default shape of the points is square. I had my envelope default to square because I use them more often, but if I wanted to change its curvature even as square, I could. Now I can't change any shape's curvature with that setting.

To troubleshoot this you can change the default shape to any other shape but square, and yes, it will allow again to change the curvature of a square.

Can you revert this behaviour back? So people like me that uses square shapes but every now and then wants to edit it to a smooth transcient can do it without having to go "envelope point shape- linear ,etc"??

-------------Old text-----------------------
A couple of updates ago, the method in which you could hold alt and edit the envelope´s curve not longer works.

Reaper 5.93 64 bits
Windows 10 Home 64 bits

How to reproduce:
-Create an automation envelope.
-Create 2 points.
-Try to change the curvature using alt+leftclick on the line.
-The line should change its curve but instead it just move the envelope points up and down.

Mouse Modifiers - Envelope segments - Alt left click - Is set to "Edit envelope segment curvature".

Yes, I have 2 keys indeed. But none of them seems to work as it should.

So isn't this a general issue with current versions? Im having this problem since like 3 updates ago. I thought it would be a known bug, but it seems it's only happening to me and a couple of other people.

...help

I just checked in Reaper 5.92/x64, Win 8.1 and here it works as it ever did.
(I know, not that helpful, but at least it seems to indicate it's not a general issue).

edit:
You could try doing a fresh portable install and see how it behaves there.

I've found the way to reproduce it:

I found my self many times needing square points for my envelopes, thus I set them as default. (my theory is... i dont have the time to download an older version to test it A COUPLE OF UPDATES AGO THIS SETTING DIDNT AFFECT the curvature editing (alt+click).
Now it does.

Which means, if you have default envelope shape any but Square, no matter what kind of shape you are dealing with (this includes square), alt+click will work ok. If you have default set to square, none of the shapes will change its curvature.

TLDR: To return the envelope curvature to the desired behaviour, just set default point shape to any shape but square.

Can any of you check on your end if I'm right?

Oh.. ok. I would really want an option to turn it back. But I think that won't happen

^aye-changed just for u =)
+ Envelopes: permit converting envelope segment to bezier curve even if default envelope point shape is square

devs are taking notes, and adding recent requests,or fixes rapidly as they see fit to.
users may try to be aware of any game changers. =)

Thank you very much, both of you. Reaper is indeed an awesome DAW, but I didn't know it also has an amazing dev team/ community!
