Pasting tempo from one prj to another results in uneditable Tempo AI (FIXED)

1- load 2 projects in tabs with different tempos
2- enter prj A, copy tempo points
3- paste them in prj B
4- issue: an awesome tempo envelope appears, but you can't edit its endpoints etc.

this seems like a feature that is still in development, but i haven't seen mention or discussion of it.

i copy AIs between prjs all the time, but this is preventing me from doing this, and i have to do it manually....very very slow and tedious work

Try without env.-items,
and be sure to have your edit-marker at time 0.

not an option, i'm copying multiple tempo maps into a master project, so i need to be able to paste it at points other than time 0.

You image shows an automation item for the envelope. Try converting those to regular line.

Time not 0 is not an issue as long as you know start-position of env-points

maybe you misunderstood - the image you see is the resulting bug, not the desired objects to copy. i'll see if that can be converted. edit - not seeing a way to convert this tempo AI to regular envelope data

Edit: ah, only happens when the tempo envelope is set to use project setting for "bypass outside of AIs", and that setting is set. fixing.

yeah, thanks -- maybe i should have my reaper ini automatically backed up to the cloud and linked in my sig or something to facilitate dev reproduction.

btw, i love the idea of a tempo AI, if that ever ends up being a feature. don't sweat it if it's a big can of worms, but it would make editing multisong live project tempo maps easier
