Default Scripts: BWF bext and LIST-INFO Metadata (various)

Hi !

After months of beta testing, debugging etc, here it is finally, a BWF (bext and wav LIST INFO) metadata scripts pack, to be able to inject wav metadata right from REAPER !

These scripts used the great BWFMetaEdit open source project, so thanks to Jerome for providing this tool free for everyone !

In the pack:
  • X-Raym_Propagate first take BWF metadata to all takes in selected items with bwfmetaedit CLI.lua
  • X-Raym_Restore BWF metadata of selected media items from similarly-named XML backup files.lua
  • X-Raym_Add BWF metadata to selected media items.lua
Here are some screenshots:

Batch process BWF wav files:

Put back metadata into rendered files:

It is early release phase, let me know if you have any issue with them,

Cheers !

$possample wildcard added to my Add BWF to selected items script ! This allows to inject Time Reference item position into selected items audio source BWF metadata.

This is really great stuff X-Raym!

I only use BWFs for keeping files synched to project positions. Aside from the obvious use of re-adding position metadata, what else could this be used for...

Inspire me (or anyone else seeing this) as how we could use this in creative ways.

Could we embed loudness and (say) RMS values to be ready later within Reaper or similar?

Thanks!

Cheers,

Andrew K
