Timecode included in Batch file/item converter?
I'm new'ish to Reaper and thought for a moment I'd found the holy grail....
To batchconvert field recorded poly wave files with bwf timecode to different channel groupings RETAINING the original timecode stamp. (On this occasion 8 channel poly wave files to two groups of 4 poly wave files) I started to use the otherwise brilliant Reaper batch file converter and ticked 'Write BWF ('bext') chunk and thought wonderful this will retain the timecode stamp. Only to be sorely disappointed when all the files started with timecode 00:00:00:00 This was a tearing my hair out moment!! Why o why o why! do DAW's make it such hard work with BWF timecode, even Pro Tools is hard work. Please tell me there is a way to do this in Reaper?... I know I can use Sound Devices Waveagent which is what I'll have to resort to (though I don't like how it does it) but I thought for a moment Reaper could do it very nicely? Your timing is pretty impeccable. You might want to go take a look at the latest dev build at the bottom of this forum. They are dev builds so it may be too risky for your tastes but because of your interest in this you may be able to provide some valuable input and testing. Until a feature is released put any feedback you might have in the dev build thread.
