Default Make embedded, recorded MIDI-items respect file-name format settings...

Currently only recorded audio-items or separate .MID files respect the naming settings at Preferences -> Audio -> Recording -> Filename format for recorded files.

But if one has setting:
Preferences -> Media -> MIDI -> Create new MIDI-items as: set to "embedded",
the new recorded MIDI-items are named in the style of:
[track number]-[track name]-Recorded MIDI

Since one can rename even embedded items in what ever way they want after the fact, there doesn't seem to be a real technical reason not to allow even embedded MIDI-items to be automatically named with same flexibility as any audio-items.

I'd really love to have time stamps and all that jazz automatically in my recorded MIDI items.

The note at the Preferences -> Media -> MIDI -> Create new MIDI-items as: implies that there are some limitations in recording MIDI as separate files, even if this would fix the naming issue, but it doesn't elaborate any further why this is the case or what these limitations mean.

It would be preferable that MIDI-items had the same (but maybe separate) settings for naming them regardless if they're embedded or not. There could be a tick: "Use same preference for MIDI and Audio-items." and if that's set, it grays out the separate field for setting MIDI-item names.

There's nothing on forums or in the user guide on what it means that embedded items allow more editing... mean like what restrictions apply and how?

Even this would be nice to know so one could make informed decision on whether or not enable separate .mid files.

Anyway, I really hope this naming thing can be addressed soon or the user guide updated... or both

Am I the only one who would like this issue be fixed or the manual improved regarding what using separate .mid files would cause?

Consider this a bump...
