Default REAPER 6.10 broke my wildcard

I have extensively used the abbreviated $reg wildcard for $region when I'm rendering, and it no longer works in 6.10. So every time I'm working from an old session I have to remember to add the "ion" to the end of that wildcard before I render.

Any chance that can get fixed in the next version, please, so the hundreds of sessions I have with $reg in the render window can still work?

Unless someone has a means for me to fix that myself...

Thanks!
Brian

This was actually a bug previously! "$reg" would match the $region wildcard too soon, so it prevented the $regionnumber wildcard from working at all. I suppose we could move the matching priority around to restore the old behavior, but it's not great... $reg will resolve to the region name while you are typing, even if you intend to eventually type $regionnumber, which is confusing.

Oh, okay. I'm cool with typing "ion" a bunch of times on my old projects when they get reused for the greater good. (...THE GREATER GOOD...)

A follow-up question: Is there any way to modify the $regionnumber wildcard so that it doesn't add a leading zero to the number? Or am I just thick and there's actually another wildcard that could be used for that?

Thanks for the prompt reply, Schwa!
