Default Hanging midi notes with Kontakt

Hi folks.

I really love Reaper, but this problem makes me crazy.

I work 99% of the time with Kontakt 6 in Reaper and I´m getting midi hanging notes all the time, when I play the keyboard but also when I play the song. This happens randomly.

I've made the trick of the custom action transport send all midi notes off, but this is not helping too much. I´m desperate with this.

Any help will be apreciated.

Regards.

I use a very complex keyboard setup for live playing (three master keyboards, many virtual instruments, most of them Kontakt based -> https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=213568#5 ).

I never have any hanging notes.

You might want to insert ReaControlMidi directly above Kontakt and watch the LOG to see if there are missing Note-Offs.

I see you are using 6.09 version, try 6.10, because there were some improvements on this.

Yeah REAPER is notorious for this. It’s really not the MIDI producer’s DAW. Have thought about using one with more of an emphasis in MIDI since you say you work 99% percent of the time in Kontakt??

I don't get any hanging notes. So first step is to update Reaper to 6.10. Then check the last pages here: https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=183737&page=4

Also check all these settings:

Thank you very much guys.

Just updated to 6.10.

It seems that there were two unchecked boxes. I will tell you how it works from now on with these changes.

Funny I had the same 2 checkboxes unticked even tough I had carefully set my preferences not too much time ago. Were they introduced as options in 6.10 along with the other (automatic) midi bugfixes?
