Media Explorer Bug - Add to shortcut list
As the Media Explorer is in focus now I think there are good chances for relating bugs to be fixed.
I make extensive use of the "Add to shortcut list" feature to have all my main sample folders directly accessible. While this works fine for most folders, in some cases the shortcuts when restarting Reaper are just empty. It consistently doesn't work with some folder while it consistently works with all other folders.
I don't know if others experience this too and how to troubleshoot.
I can't come up with anything that the folders where it doesn't work have in common which the other folders haven't. They are all stored on the same drive in the same subfolder.
If the devs have any suspects and need some specific information please let me know.

I have never seen this behaviour, can you think of any extra info for me to try help tracking down a cause ?

Could you copy/paste in a path that doesn't work? This could be a localization or character set type of issue.

Not sure if I understand you correctly, you want me to copy the pathname and paste it here? in that case here you are:
/Volumes/Macintosh SSD/ AUDIO FILES/Articulated
Otherwise please tell me what I should do.
Btw on this drive -- /Volumes/Macintosh SSD/ AUDIO FILES/ -- there are most of my other sample folders which I turn into shortcuts and usually it works just fine, there are just a few other ones having the same problem.

Yes, that's what I mean, thanks. So that one folder always displays as empty in the media explorer, but other folders on the same volume display properly?
Could you please email your reaper.ini file to support at cockos?

Exactly, most other folders display correctly.
Just sent an email with my reaper.ini file.

Would it be easy to move the entire contents of that folder into a subfolder like Articulated/aaa, and see if the subfolder "aaa" displays when you browse to the Articulated folder? Trying to see if there's something about the particular files in the folder that is causing the problem.

Tried it. The aaa folder does not appear inside the Articulated shortcut when restarting Reaper.

Ah it's because the path in question ends in a space character. We'll fix this on our end but for now you can edit the reaper.ini Shortcut line and add quotes around the path.

Wow, incredible how you notice these little details.
Indeed it seems that all folders doing this have a space character at the end. This is totally accidental (why would anyone on purpose name a folder like this) so I renamed the folders and they work just fine. It's still very useful if this will be fixed so that when anyone accidentally or on purpose names a folder like this he won't have the same troubles.
