Default 6.0 - 6.20 VST preview automation ignoring changed parameters

Hi there,
I've spotted an issue with REAPER preview automation using FabFilter ProQ-3. The thing is that sometimes it is very hard to put changes you wanna do into preview buffer. You can create a certain band within the plugin and then after releasing the mouse the band should stay in place. Sometimes it doesn't and just disappears.

To reproduce:
Put FabFilter Pro Q3 on a track
Turn on preview
Create a band and write automation
Go back to read mode
Turn on preview again
Create a band

This last created band will not go into preview buffer and just disappear.

Yes. I experienced this too, and I went for another EQ.

The issue is still there. Is anyone out the that maybe has a workaround? Pro q 3 is an essential plugin in my workflow and I would love to use it in projects that require preview automation.
