Hello,
For a while, when I want to edit a JSFX script by clicking on the [Edit...] button in the track FX window, nothing happens : the usual internal IDE do not show up anymore... Reaper losts focus but the IDE is not visible. By right-clicking the [Edit...] button, NotePad editor still show up with the script content. I don't remember when this issue happened first (and with which Reaper version), as I do not often modify scripts... Thanks in advance for any help :-) Laurent |

I must add that I use a PORTABLE Reaper installation.
When I install a brand new Reaper (NOT a portable installation, no SWS, no add-ons of any kind), the internal IDE successfully shows up. So, is the internal IDE actually not available with portable installations? Laurent |

Maybe the IDE opens up under some other floating window?

It might be offscreen -- JSFX IDEs are missing a check to make sure they are on-screen, fixing that. For now open reaper.ini in a texte ditor and find the lines that begin "watch_lx=" and "watch_ly=" and delete those

Before deleting them, those lines were :
watch_lx = 1143 watch_ly = 855 I deleted both of them and start Reaper again : the problem were still there. Looking into the reaper.ini file, lines were now : watch_lx = 1924 watch_ly = 78 I kept the lines and set those parameters to : watch_lx = 500 watch_ly = 50 And now the JSFX IDE appear in the middle of my main screen. If it helps to solve the issue : I've got 2 screens (both 1920*1080) but my main screen is set to be the right screen (my secondary screen is on the left side) I'm on Windows 10, Reaper 6.32. Thanks for your help, problem solved ! Laurent |
