Razor editing and automation items possible bug

work environment: MacBook Pro 2016 running MacOS 11.4
reaper version 6.36

steps to reproduce it:
- create a track with an item in it and show the volume envelope below
- create an automation item (alt+left click+ drag on the envelope)
- create a razor editing area (alt+rigth click+drag) on the same volume envelope but at increased time (the razor editing area will be on the right of the automation item)
- change the volume inside the razor editing area

expected behaviour: the volume of the automation item remains untouched
observed behaviour: the volume of the automation item disappears

some further observations related to the same bug:
- if you create more automation items before the razor editing, all their volumes disappear when you change the razor editing area volume
- if you edit the points of one automation item, that item is left untouched when you create and edit the razor editing area.

I tried testing, but I don't understand your instructions. You should clarify or edit the OP to be more clear.

  "on the right of the automation item"
• Subject mentions crash but description doesn't

I am sorry it is not a crash, it is a bug.
