Wrong LV2 translations loaded

Hi I'm the developer for noise-repellent plugin (https://github.com/lucianodato/noise-repellent). The plugin has translations for 3 languages (English, French and Spanish) which are working well in for example Ardour.

I've read about locale issues as indicated here https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=210390 but couldn't make it work in Ubuntu 20.04 with version 6.36

These are my current locale

and reaper is configured to use English as the language.

The plugin can be downloaded from github releases and installed like any lv2

Is this a known issue? Am I doing something wrong?
