Default Reaper Render bug in OSX: creates file in wrong folder (FIXED)

I am using a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013)
2,3 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Running on Movaje 10.14.6

I can reproduce this every time in the project I am working in.

When Rendering it creates a file in a new Folder with the same name as I Browsed to, pointed to.

You can see it in this screencast I made for it:

As you can see when I start rendering there's only One folder 'zondag 6 februari 2022 - Schoolstrijd VS ' and after Rendering there are Two of them. So I cannot saved to a folder which I use for the project. Everytime I need to pick it from the newly created folder and drop it in the folder I want it to be.

Hmm perhaps that directory name has a trailing space character in it? If so, REAPER is trying (and in this case, failing) to be helpful by assuming it is a typo. Looking into this.

Yes that's it!

The folder name had a space at the end of the name.
When I deleted this space I couldn't reproduce the bug.

Still a bug though imo for naming.

We're changing this for macOS/Linux (it's a carryover from Windows where a trailing space is not permitted on a directory name, so it is automatically removed).
