Default [Linux] Opening "Changelog" Crashes the Program

version 6.56, Arch Linux. I’m not sure how to debug it, neither dmesg nor journalctl give any information.

Strange, works fine here. If you run REAPER from the command line does it print anything when it crashes?

If not, try running it in gdb, then when it crashes type "bt" to get a backtrace. Or you can set it to dump core by running "ulimit -c unlimited", running REAPER from the same terminal, then looking for the "core" file when it crashes.

Running it through the debugger returns:

Program terminated with signal SIGKILL, Killed.
The program no longer exists.

I haven’t been able to create a coredump or backtrace after SIGKILL.

Switching from jack (pipewire-jack) to dummy avoids the problem, as does creating /etc/security/limits.d/99-audio.conf with this content:
@audio - rtprio 99
@audio - memlock unlimited
